Salmonella Eggs: Updated Egg Recall List – Due to a recent salmonella scare, many eggs have been recalled as the government oversees the problem. Around 228 million eggs have been recalled, which is a huge amount of eggs. This is leaving many people wondering just what eggs are safe, and which eggs to avoid.

The eggs come from Galt, Iowa, from a company called Wright County Egg. However, the eggs this company produces are sold under various names and brandings.

Taken from the FDA’s website is a list of the brands which are to be recalled.

Dutch Farms
Farm Fresh
Hillandale
Kemps
Lucerne
Lund
Mountain Dairy
Ralph’s
Shoreland
Sunshine
Trafficanda

The eggs come in various sizes, half dozen, dozen and 18 egg sized cartons. The Julian dates, which are marked on the cartons are in the range of 136 to 225 and plant numbers 1026, 1413 and 1946.

This is to be found on the end of the carton, and start with the letter P, for plant number. For example, the Julian date will look this this: P- 1413 224.

Consumers who believe they have bought on of these cartons are advised to return them to the store where they were purchase for a refund. They are also advise not to eat the eggs.       I’m Disgusted! Especially since the egg’s(eggsland best)that made me sick is not on the list. We need watch dog’s for the watch dog’s;how many more americans will be subject to abuse before the FDAA get’s it right!!!

      If you look Egg.lands Best is actually Farm Fresh Eggs and they are on the list. They were not on the original list however, made my paper Friday morning.
