There is new research that promises to deliver amazing results which could act to reverse the damaging effects which are caused by the condition multiple sclerosis (the illness causes a whole host of symptoms and damages the body in many ways.)

Scientists have recently discovered a new use for stem cells that could flip a “switch” in the brain that reverses the damage which has been done to it by this condition. An MS charity recently described this research as the most exciting thing to happen in a long time with regards to finding a potential cure for MS which could help out many suffering people.


This is only one piece of research in a number of efforts to reverse auto-immune diseases which takes on a toll on around 100,000 people in the UK alone.

Multiple Sclerosis occurs when the body stars essentially attacking itself, causing it to destroy the important insulating materials which are called myelin; they coat the nerve fibers in the body which are an essential aspect needed for the body to function normally. Scientists say that this research could totally change what we know about medicine and especially auto-immune diseases as well as how they are treated in those who have them.
