It was about to happen, as there were questions regarding the safety of the airport body scanners, and now a story emerges claiming that cancer rates to TSA workers operating the devices has risen.

According to this report, the TSA has been caught covering up the rise in cancer cases of TSA workers who operate these devices. The information was gathered from FOIA or Freedom Of Information Act documents that were acquired by the Electronic Privacy Information Center.

It was the Union for the workers in Boston that noticed the rise in cancer rates amongst their workers and then the TSA tried to avoid the issue by not issuing dosimeters to the workers to test for the measure of levels of exposure. That’s like not giving firefighters, firefighting gear.

The story goes on with some alarming information that shows multiple sources of concern and confirmation that the TSA has been downright lying and stonewalling in regard to the cancer risks of these devices. Report after report, documented professional in the sciences and more bring to alarm the obvious risks and dangers of not only the TSA but the public at large.

Ever since the devices were installed the public has been concerned with the body scanners and inquiries into their safety are ignored and it’s a sure bet that with this new data the lawsuits are going to be flying around soon and that’s going to be bad news for the TSA, the government and the producers of the scanners.
